In the month of May the Kindergarten class is excited to prepare for our very special Parent’s program. We are looking forward to thanking our dads and moms for all they have done for us this year. We will be working on many projects for Open House as well. This month we will learn all about different habitats and will study space and the planets. We know how to read and spell tons of short and long vowel words now and will review adding and subtracting in mathematics. In Bible we will learn the fruits of the spirit and the armor of God. We are almost ready to move on to the first grade!

Our teaching philosophy:
I believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn in a loving and caring environment. I want to provide experiences that promote life long learning and develop each child’s unique strengths. I want all of our students to gain not only a valuable education but also the understanding of how God wants us to live and treat others on a daily basis.

Goals for the year:
I hope to build the confidence and self control needed to be successful in school. I desire for our students to gain a better understanding of God’s love. I also want our students to master beginning phonics and build sight word vocabulary so they can become confident readers. Lastly, I want every child to feel excited about learning and trying new things.
